Austrian Post weights parcels with OCS catchweighers Austrian Post is Austria's leading service provider in the postal delivery sector. One of Austrian Post's main businesses is the provision of mail and parcel services. The distribution centres of Linz, Villach and Vienna are equipped with OCS Checkweighers EC-M-SL-3-SI model, for in-motion-scale applications. These scales are responsible for the weight determination of parcels. Since April 2009, OCS is a reliable partner of Austrian Post. In three different distribution centres, a total of seven scales are installed which weigh the incoming packages in-motion and additional scales have already been ordered! The scales were integrated into existing input lines and are MID certified and verified. Oliver Mosböck, Technical Manager at Austrian Post, recalls why only OCS catchweighers came into question.
